Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Social Worker to work full-time within a Children with Disabilities Team based in Exeter. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in children's services and be registered with the HCPC.

The pay rate for this locum Social Worker job is up to £38 per hour (LTD Company Equivalent) and is an initial 3-month contract.

Duties:

  • Provide a high quality and effective social work service to respond to the needs of children and their families in a timely manner and within statutory guidelines, Directorate policies, standards and guidelines
  • Assess need, plan and deliver focused intervention to safeguard and protect children and promote positive outcomes
  • Produce focused and purposeful care plans for interventions with explicit aims and objectives about desired outcomes within the context of managing risk to children
  • Understand the context of child development, parenting capacity and family and environmental factors in which to establish the needs of an individual child

Requirements of the Social Worker:

  • Degree or equivalent in social work
  • Current HCPC registration
  • Significant senior level frontline experience within children's services
  • Working knowledge of court work and safeguarding is essential to this role
