Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Social Worker to work full-time in Sutton in a Children with Disabilities Team. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in children's services and be registered with the HCPC.

The pay rate for this locum Social Worker job is £32 to £34 per hour (LTD Company Equivalent) and is an initial 3-month contract.

  • The Disabled children and young people service 0-25 is a hardworking and committed team. It benefits from clear management and regular supervision, stable workforce, manageable caseloads, and effective partnerships with Education and Health.
  • The team is supported with access to a wide range of high-quality resources both within Sutton and through the commissioning framework and is committed to supporting disabled and young people in Sutton.
  • In 2013 the team was praised by Ofsted for creative work and positive outcomes with young people and they were also specifically praised by Ofsted 2016 for a service that is sensitive to their needs, with effective safeguarding - including siblings and using their experience and knowledge in detailed assessments alongside imaginative practice.

Requirements of the Social Worker:

  • Degree or equivalent in social work
  • Current HCPC registration
  • Significant senior level frontline experience within children's services
