Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Social Worker to work part-time in Newham, within the Child Protection Team. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in Children's Services and be registered with Social Work England.
The pay rate for this locum Social Worker job is £42 per hour (Assignment rate) and is an initial 3-month contract.
Duties of the Social Worker:
- To chair child protection conferences for those children who are deemed to be at risk of significant harm, ensuring that a thorough risk assessment is carried out on those children, and to draft a child protection plan involving all of the key agencies in contact with the child.
- To provide professional/expert advice and consultation on a range of child protection issues.
Requirements of the Social Worker:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current Social Work England registration
- Significant senior level frontline experience within Children's Services
- Child Protection experience
- Must be a car driver
