Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Social Worker to work full-time within an Adults Community Team based in Rotherham. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in Adult's Services and be registered with Social Work England.
The pay rate for this locum Social Worker job is £33 per hour (Assignment rate) and is an initial 3-month contract.
About the role:
- This is an exciting opportunity for social workers to work in Rotherham in our Community Adult Social Work Teams and Integrated Discharge Team, which cover the North, South and Central geographical areas of Rotherham.
- Our focus is to support people and their carers in their own community to build on their strengths, assets and abilities to maximise their independence and wherever possible self-manage.
- As a social worker in this service you will also work closely with health colleagues and other partners to enable people to meet their outcomes and lead good lives
- As part of the team, which comprises of social workers and vocationally qualified assessment and review co-ordinators, you will work with adults with physical disabilities, learning disabilities, older adults and their carers, who are requesting assessment and support from the council.
Requirements of the Social Worker:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current Social Work England registration
- Significant senior level frontline experience within Adults Services
- The successful candidates will have a strong knowledge and experience of working within the statutory legal frameworks governing adult social care and have experience of safeguarding adults
