Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Social Worker to work full-time in Southend-on-Sea, within the Adolescent Intervention and Prevention Team. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in Children's Services and be registered with Social Work England.
The salary for this permanent Social Worker job is £31,371 - £36,876 per annum.
Duties:
- To work within the Adolescent Intervention and Prevention Team whose primary function is to work with children who are victims of or at risk of child sexual/criminal exploitation and those missing from home or school.
Requirements of the Social Worker:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current Social Work England registration
- Significant senior level frontline experience within Children's Services
- Knowledge & understanding of the framework for the assessment of children in need and their families Contemporary knowledge of social work & their social work applications i.e. attachment theory, enabling change, behaviour management.
- Knowledge of methods of social work intervention Knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations guidance & policy issues Experience of multi-disciplinary working with children and families
