Sanctuary Social Care currently has a permanent vacancy for an experienced and dedicated Social Worker to work within an Adolescent and Youth Offending Service based in Barking and Dagenham. The ideal candidates will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice and be registered with the HCPC.

As the post holder of this role, you will receive a competitive salary of £38,945 - £44,774 per annum.

Summary:

  • You will Adolescent and Youth Offending Service, which is a multi-disciplinary team made up of roles such as psychologist, family therapist, CAMHs nurse, YOS practitioners, missing children coordinators.
  • You will report into the Adolescent Social Work Team Manager.
  • The team provides bespoke social work services to children and their families to help safeguard and promote their welfare.
  • You will want to work with complex adolescents have a good understanding of their development and need to have a good understanding of contextual safeguarding and exploitation in adolescent's, missing children and a successful track record of developing good working relationships with partner agencies.

Requirements of the Social Worker:

  • Degree or equivalent in social work, completed your ASYE
  • Current HCPC registration
  • Significant senior level frontline experience within children's services
  • This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and a comprehensive screening process will be undertaken on successful applicants including an Enhanced Children's Department of Barring Services check.
