Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Social Worker to work full-time in Richmond, within the Access Team. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in Adults' Services and be registered with Social Work England.

The pay rate for this locum Social Worker job is £28 per hour (Assignment rate) and is an initial 3-month contract.

This is a very fantastic time to join the team as we are currently going through a major re- design of our service: the aim is to transform our front door function by implementing a shift to a conversation-based practice model. Our vision is to "Deliver the Best for our Residents" and to promote all our residents' wellbeing by supporting people to stay active in their communities and retain their independence for as long as possible.

Duties of the Social Worker:

  • To contribute to the continuous improvement of the services of the Boroughs of Richmond.
  • To comply with relevant Codes of Practice, including the Code of Conduct and policies concerning data protection and health and safety.
  • To adhere to security controls and requirements as mandated by the SSA's policies, procedures and local risk assessments to maintain confidentiality, integrity, availability and legal compliance of information and systems
  • To promote equality, diversity, and inclusion, maintaining an awareness of the equality and diversity protocol/policy and working to create and maintain a safe, supportive and welcoming environment where all people are treated with dignity and their identity and culture are valued and respected.
  • To understand both Councils' duties and responsibilities for safeguarding children, young people and adults as they apply to the role within the council.
  • The Shared Staffing Arrangement will keep its structures under continual review and as a result the post holder should expect to carry out any other reasonable duties within the overall function, commensurate with the level of the post.
  • To advise and support managers on the relevant matters affecting the service and to contribute as required to change programmes within the service
  • To support ways of working that ensure that residents and stakeholders are actively engaged in the future of the service and can influence decision making
  • To work in ways that develops good working relations and collaborative arrangements with internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements of the Social Worker:

  • Degree or equivalent in social work
  • Current Social Work England registration
  • Significant senior level frontline experience within Adults' Services
