Duties:
- Developing a strength-based culture in practice and leadership/ coaching of the team
- Compliance with all statutory social care requirements including the Care Act, the Mental Health Act, the Mental Capacity Act and Buckinghamshire Multi-agency Safeguarding procedures
- Contribute to service improvement to deliver outstanding support to Buckinghamshire residents
- Contributing to budget and financial management
- Performance against statutory and locally determined indicators
- Working with internal and external partners to support the delivery of the Service Improvement Plan
Requirements of the Adults Assistant Community Services Manager:
- Recognised Social Work or Occupational Therapy Qualification and registration and maintenance of registration withSocial Work England or HCPC
- Evidence of consistent pattern of learning and development
- Additional management qualification
- Best Interest Assessor, Approved Mental Health Professional or Practice Educator (or commitment to train as one)
- Extensive experience leading a social care team effectively at a senior level
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, persuasion and negotiating skills
- Excellent record keeping, report writing and presentational skills
- Excellent planning, workload management and project management skills
- Experience of delivering a customer focused service; driving standards and performance contributing to strategic direction, in a changeable environment
- Expert knowledge of Adult Social Careprocedural and legislative frameworks, initiatives and systems
- Extensive experience of managing change effectively across Adult Social Care, with the ability to identify, propose and implement solutions
- Good ICT Skills including use of Microsoft applications and specialist systems
- Proven ability to manage, develop and motivate a multi-disciplinary team of professional and/or vocationally qualified and support staff
- Understanding of Equal Opportunities principles and valuing diversity in employment and the delivery ofservices
- Understanding of the commissioningenvironment, complex client risk assessment, and the cost of resources and implications for service delivery
- Enhanced DBS clearance is required
