Sanctuary Health is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Social Services Occupational Therapist to work full-time within an Adult Social Care Locality Team based in Dorking. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of Occupational Therapy and be registered with the HCPC.
The pay rate for this locum Social Services Occupational Therapist job is £26 - £30 per hour (Assignment rate) and is an ongoing contract.
Summary:
- As postholder of this role the clients you work with are learning disabilities, physical or sensory impairment, mental health or be an old age.
- You will develop a range of skills enabling you to undertake frontline holistic occupational therapy practice within a social care setting, building your professional experience in major adaptations, reablement skills gain programs, moving and handling assessments with the aim of supporting our clients to live independently in the community.
- Provide support to vulnerable adults and their carers in a community-based setting.
- Part of this role requires you to carry out home visits within your locality area and on occasion travelling outside of the county. Some of these settings include and clients homes, residential care and nursing homes.
Requirements of the Social Services Occupational Therapist:
- Degree or equivalent within Occupational Therapy
- HCPC registered as an Occupational Therapist
- Recent experience working as an Occupational Therapist
- Must be a car driver
