Sanctuary Executive is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Service Manager to fill a full-time role based in Cambridgeshire. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in Children's services.
The pay rate for this locum Service Manager job is £450 per day (LTD Company Equivalent) and is a 3-month contract.
Summary:
- The Service Manager reports directly to the Head of Service, and is responsible for the oversight and management of frontline social work teams within the Disability Social Care 0-25 Service across Cambridgeshire.
- Based in Huntingdon, the Service Manager will hold the key responsibility for managing risk and ensuring the safe and effective delivery of the social work service to children and young people with disabilities who are assessed as being in need, at risk of significant harm or Children In Care.
- On a daily basis the Service Manager is required to provide safeguarding advice and make casework decisions that affect the trajectory of a child's life. In doing so, they are held accountable for all aspects relating to managing performance and practice within their service area. They will also be required to provide clear financial decisions, delivering the service within a set budget, and carefully balancing need, demand and the availability of resources. We are a busy frontline statutory service delivering intervention and support to some of the most vulnerable children and young people across the county, so previous leadership and management experience is essential.
Requirements of the Service Manager:
- Recent experience within a similar role
- Social Work, Relevant Health Discipline or Management Qualification
- Minimum 2 years frontline management experience with young people and families
- Enhanced DBS Clearance
