Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Senior Social Worker to work full-time in Bexley in an Adults Team. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in Adults' Services and be registered with Social Work England.
The pay rate for this locum Senior Social Worker job is £30 - £32 per hour (Assignment rate) this role is available on a 3-month contract.
Job Summary:
- Assist the Service Manager in providing a comprehensive social work service, safeguarding vulnerable adults and promoting care management for adults and their carers in the Borough of Bexley who are identified as being in need as a result of disability or vulnerability.
- Support the Service Manager with workload management and professional supervision in the Team.
- Provide professional support and maintain an improved standard of service.
Duties:
- To assist and direct social care workers in assessing the needs of individuals, developing Reablement plans where appropriate,, planning individualised budgets and monitoring their progress.
- Support the Service Manager in ensuring the workload of the service is prioritised appropriately and is allocated to social care workers, making best use of their skills and capability.
- Sssist in the supervision and appraisal of social care workers and encourage their professional development and ensure consistent social work practice.
- Maintain/develop an interest in the specialist area of service provision and contribute to special projects which will enhance overall service delivery.
- Ensure effective use of time and resources, identifying and communicating short falls of resources when necessary.
Requirements of the Senior Social Worker:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current Social Work England registration
- Significant senior level frontline experience within Adults' Services
- Experience of supervising staff.
- Previous experience of assessment, commissioning of care, monitoring and review ensuring effective use of resources.
