Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Senior Practitioner to work full-time within a Referral and Assessment Team based in Bexley. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in children's services.

The pay rate for this locum Senior Practitioner job is £35 per hour (LTD Company Equivalent) and is an initial 3-month contract.

Purpose of the job:

  • This is an experienced practitioner role, with specific responsibilities for managing the more complex, sensitive short term cases identified from the referrals received from the MASH Team.
  • To undertake the assessment of a child and their family's needs in line with the Government's Framework ensuring that the outcome is acted on promptly.
  • There are 3 Referral and Assessment Teams who each will respond to all children's social care referrals received by the Single Point of Contact & Triage.

The Referral and Assessment team will undertake a range of assessment and care planning work including:

  • Initial and Core Assessments
  • Strategy Discussion and s47 investigations
  • Initial Child Protection Conference
  • Initial Care Proceedings
  • Initial accommodation to local authority care

Requirements of the Senior Practitioner:

  • Degree or equivalent in social work
  • Significant senior level frontline experience within children's services
  • Current HCPC registration
