We currently seek a motivated Echo-based Physiologist to join our Outpatient Cardiology team as a Senior Cardiac Physiologist. In this role, you will collaborate closely with Consultant Cardiologists, conducting a comprehensive range of outpatient non-invasive cardiac investigations. Additionally, after appropriate training, you will utilise your expertise to support cardiology consultants in the Cath Lab.

This position is ideal for an experienced BSE accredited Cardiac Physiologist who prioritises patient care and seeks to advance their career while gaining exposure to invasive Cardiac Diagnostic Testing in the Cath Lab.

Your working hours will follow a rotating schedule, Monday - Friday, covering 08:00 am – 16:00 pm, 09:00 am – 17:00 pm, and 10:00 am – 18:00 pm shifts.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Conduct a full spectrum of outpatient Cardiac Investigations, including ECG, Stress Tests, and Echocardiograms.
  • Rotate between the Outpatient Cardiology and Interventional Cardiac Service within the Cath lab to ensure comprehensive service delivery.
  • Assist the cardiorespiratory lead in overseeing day-to-day service delivery in the cardiorespiratory department.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and protocols within the cardio-respiratory department.
  • Maintain and enhance own professional development.

Person Specification:

Essential:

  • Hold a qualification in Physiology (BSc or equivalent).
  • Possess post-qualification BSE accreditation.
  • Demonstrate post-qualification experience in Outpatient Cardiology Service.
  • Exhibit outstanding interpersonal skills, fostering effective working relationships with colleagues and consultants.

Desirable:

  • Previous experience in a Cath Lab setting.
  • Experience in Electrophysiology.
