Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency is currently looking for an experienced Band 5 Vaccination Nurse to work full-time based in Cambridge.
The pay rate for this locum Vaccination Nurse role is to be confirmed.
Responsible for:
- Facilitating and implementing the School Aged Immunisation Service.
- Delivery of a safe immunisation service, assisting to influence and facilitate change within the setting and service areas.
- Assist in coordinating the delivery of an effective and efficient immunisation programme for school age children to meet the contract KPIs.
- Work to promote and facilitate collaborative working between the school aged immunisation team, schools and other educational institutions and families in the planning and delivery of the school aged immunisation programme.
- Communicate effectively with all school immunisation team members, schools, LA and associated partners in order to work effectively and efficiently.
- This role may require you to work across different locations. You may be required to have a UK driving license and access to a car that can be used for business purposes.
Requirements of the Vaccination Nurse:
- Qualification/Degree within Nursing
- Active NMC Registration
- Recent UK General nursing experience
- Experience of working in a community setting and/or working with children & young people
- Able to demonstrate team working
- Experience of immunisations and medicines management
- Knowledgeable in the assessment of children and young people suitable for immunisation
