Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Social Worker to work full-time in Milton Keynes, in a Family Support team. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in a Children's Services and be registered with Social Work England.
The pay rate for this Social Worker job is £32 per hour (Assignment rate) and is an initial 3-month contract.
Working Arrangements:
- Our current working arrangements due to COVID-19 are all children and families are seen for home visits within statutory timescales, when staff are not completing visits they are working from home and predominantly all meetings, such as, core group, family support and Strategy Meetings are held via Microsoft Teams - This is with the support of all staff having access to their own smart phone and Surface Pro tablet
- We only expect staff to be in the office if they are on duty or duty back up which on average is 3 times a month, or if they have booked and planned to be in the office to complete a piece of work.
Duties of the Social Worker:
- Hold Child in Need, Child Protection, Looked After Children / Court through to the end of proceedings.
- Working on average caseloads are 10 families which is approximately 22 children, everyone's caseload is a mixture of CIN and CP and the more experienced staff hold court cases but no more than 3 family's at one time this can include private proceedings completing Section 7 or 37 reports
Requirements of the Social Worker:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current Social Work England registration
- Significant senior level frontline experience within Family Support Worker Services
- Able to work from home but be flexible when it comes to being needed in the office.
