Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Senior Social Worker to work full-time in Cornwall. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in children's services and be registered with the Social Work England.
The pay rate for this locum Senior Social Worker job is £28.64 per hour (LTD Company Equivalent) and is an initial 3-month contract.
Requirements of the Senior Social Worker:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current Social Work England registration
- Significant senior level frontline experience within children's services
- A high level of specific professional expertise in social work, relevant policy, legislation, guidance and best practice for vulnerable children, young people and their families
- Knowledge and understanding of the needs of a diverse range of children and their parents/carers and to promote their full involvement in decision making
- Proven ability to undertake complex assessments of need, risks, strengths, produce analysis and translate into a coherent plan and outcome
- High level of competence and confidence in providing verbally or written communications including high quality, clear reports to departmental meetings, LAC Reviews, CP Case Conferences, Legal Meetings, Permanence Planning Meetings and Court Hearings
- Ability to provide advice, consultation, mentoring, supervision and support to qualified social workers, social work trainees, social work students and other non-social work professionals, and the ability to line manage staff
- Extensive knowledge of evidence-based practice and a track record of integrating this into own practice and service delivery, and the ability to identify appropriate interventions and commission relevant services, taking into account racial, cultural and religious factors
