Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency has a new permanent position available for a Practice Manager within the Family Intervention Team to work full time based in Redbridge.

The salary for this permanent Practice Manager job is up to £52,929per annum.

Main duties:

  • This role would suit current Practice Managers or aspiring Senior Practitioners with good leadership skills and contextualised safeguarding knowledge who want to try something new and existing.
  • The post holder will be responsible for managing senior practitioners and social workers as well as offering casework support to a CSE FSW.
  • The team also works alongside a range of commissioned and externally funded services and together we implement bespoke interventions to make positive changes in a child’s life.
  • The Family Intervention Team is a specialist statutory team who work specifically with children and young people exposed to extra familial harm.
  • To assist the Team Manager as required, in all aspects of the team’s work including the allocation of work; maintaining, developing and encouraging high professional practice standards, and supporting the supervision and development of individual staff.
  • To be responsible for managing a team including the individual performance management and professional development of staff. This will include establishing regular individual  and group supervision arrangements, mentoring and coaching staff, and setting and monitoring developmental targets and objectives whilst balancing this with the development of staff skills and ongoing training and development needs.
  • To assist the Team Manager in developing and maintaining team plans and objectives that ensures delivery of the wider business plan. To take responsibility for ensuring compliance within the team with agreed working practices and identifying and meeting practice development needs.
  • To actively participate in the overall management and development of the service through Team Meetings and service wide meetings.

Requirements of a Practice Manager:

  • A social Work Qualification or equivalent.
  • Understanding of relevant legislation.
  • Registered or eligible for registration.
  • A good understanding of Contextual Safeguarding.
  • Commitment to the role and a desire to make a difference.
  • Competent with statutory safeguarding processes.
  • Willingness to learn new skills.
  • Confident to lead, motivate and drive the teams’ values of striving to keep children and young people on the edge of care within the family fold (where it is safe to do so) and to deter them from criminality and entering the judicial system.
  • Creative thinking to promote positive outcomes for Children and Young People.
