Sanctuary Personnel, a committed and competitive recruitment agency is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Band 6 Podiatrist to work full-time based in Peterborough.
The pay rate for this locum Podiatrist role is £25 per hour (assignment rate) and is a 1-month contract.
Main Duties:
- Be responsible for the assessment and diagnosis of patients with subsequent production of individual treatment plan and be able to manage the day to day running of a busy clinic.
- Assessment and identification of risk factors, categorising patients into appropriate risk banding as defined by the service assessment matrix.
- To use decision making processes to identify when patients require the intervention of other professionals and/or departmental specialist areas by following agreed departmental referral processes e.g. acute wound care/biomechanics/ bone surgery.
- To participate in the Feet Focus caseload.
- To be responsible for the day to day planning of personal workloads for the completion of home visits and visits to residential homes for the elderly and care centres.
- To be actively involved in the provision of foot health education advice to patients, relatives and carers, to participate in foot health training where appropriate for Primary Care and Social Care staff.
- To be actively involved in the development of departmental policies, guidelines and protocols.
- To be responsible for the maintenance and security of stock and equipment as appropriate.
- To follow departmental policies, standard operating procedures and guidelines using discretion to make own clinical diagnosis and decisions within professional boundaries.
- To be able to treat patients who may be immobile, wheelchair or bed-bound as appropriate.
Requirements of the Podiatrist:
- Degree or equivalent within Podiatry
- Current BSc Podiatry/HCPC registration
- At least two years of experience working as a Podiatrist in the UK
