Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency is currently looking for an experienced Band 6 Discharge/Acute Physiotherapist to work based in Dunstable.
The pay rate for this locum Discharge/Acute Physiotherapist job is £24-£25 per hour (assignment rate) and is an ongoing contract.
Main Duties:
- Visit clients in their home, residential/nursing homes or within the rehabilitation bedded units, seeing a wide range of conditions.
- Support the discharge to assess clients, supporting speedier discharges from the acute settings and setting them up with rehabilitation programmes upon their return to home.
- Complete full holistic assessments of the client’s needs and set up of rehabilitation care plans for the junior staff to follow.
- Assess and progress the clients’ rehabilitation potential physically, inclusive of P/ADL.
- Order and assess for and with the appropriate equipment that will support the client or carers.
- Complete the appropriate onward referrals to other relevant services.
- Pick up a minimum of 3 cases per day.
Requirements of the Discharge/Acute Physiotherapist:
- Degree or equivalent within Physiotherapy.
- HCPC registered as a Physiotherapist.
- Minimum two years post qualifying experience working as a Physiotherapist.
