Duties of the Occupational Therapist:
- Be responsible for the provision of Occupational Therapy in Rehabilitation Beds ensuring that services support the discharge of patients by providing specialist assessment and discharge planning.
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to facilitate timely assessment and timely, co-ordinated discharge planning.
- Hold responsibility for own caseload, working with and without direct supervision.
- Professionally support and supervise junior members of staff giving guidance and training when needed to maintain professional standards and good working practice.
Requirements of the Occupational Therapist:
- Degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy
- Recent UK experience working as an Occupational Therapist
- Recent NHS experience
- Registered with the HCPC
- Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle
