Location: Plymouth

Contract Type: Locum Ongoing contract - Part time 22.5hrs per week

Pay Rate: £20-£25/£25-£30 Saturdays and £30-£35 Sundays per hour (assignment rate)

Duties of the Occupational Therapist:

  • Manage a caseload of patients with complex needs, using evidence based, patient centred principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions.
  • Working within the Therapy Team as part of the MDT
  • Includes visiting in-patients’ homes and other community settings.
  • Provide leadership for Occupational Therapists and Occupational Therapy Support Workers through line management and appraisal process.
  • Contribute to the maintenance and development of the OT service.
  • Deputise in the absence of the OT Team Leader and carry out management and administrative duties when appropriate
  • Supervise OT students on practice placement.

Requirements of the Occupational Therapist:

  • Degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy
  • Recent UK experience working as an Occupational Therapist
  • Recent NHS experience
  • Registered with the HCPC
