Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency is currently looking for an experienced Social Services Occupational Therapist to work based in Southend-on-Sea, within the Adaptations or Manual Handling Team.

The pay rate for this locum Social Services Occupational Therapist job is £30-£33 per hour (assignment rate) and is a 3-month contract.

Main Duties:

  • Support citizens across Southend, (including out-of-borough cases) with the aim to offer occupational therapy assessments in the right place at the right time.

  • Work across the localities in a range of community-based settings including Community Hubs.

  • Undertake OT assessments for equipment and adaptions, housing, children's services, and manual handling.

  • Provide appropriate interventions and recommendations to promote independence, understand individuals’ strengths, assets and wishes to maximise their potential for independence, recognising the importance of assuming that the individual is best placed to know their own outcomes, goals, and wellbeing.

Requirements of the Social Services Occupational Therapist:

  • Degree or equivalent within Occupational Therapy.

  • HCPC registered as an Occupational Therapist.

  • Recent post-qualifying experience working as an Occupational Therapist, ideally including manual handling.
