Pay Rate: £20.30 per hour (umb) or £16.35 per hour (PAYE).

Working Hours: Must be able to work 36 hours a week over 5 days shifts. 7 hour working day, example shift would be 8-4 or 10-6.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take responsibility for developing close professional relationships with an identified group of children and their parents to support children’s emotional well being and learning
  • To act as key person and take responsibility for working with groups of children on planned learning experiences across all six areas of learning including preparing, setting up, managing, and clearing up materials and equipment, in both indoor and outdoor learning areas.
  • To take a role in the planning and delivery of the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum.
  • To make observations and assessments of children’s play, progress and behaviour, creating and maintaining Special Books and contributing to the HEYP using Information Technology as appropriate in line with centre’s processes and procedures.
  • To foster children’s language development, and where appropriate, encourage and support the use of home languages and other communication aids as appropriate.

Applicant Requirements:

  • Minimum of a level 3 qualification. 
  • 1+ year of experience working with children under 5 within a nursery. 
  • Proof of ability to work and live in the UK. Current DBS and 2 x references.
