Sanctuary Executive is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Service Leader to fill a full-time role within a Leaving Care Service based in Portsmouth.
The pay rate for this locum Service Leader job is £350 per day and is an initial 3-month contract.
You will be a part of the Looked After Children Service and will manage a service of Team Leaders, Social Workers and Personal Advisors working with Looked After Children and Care Leavers and will be responsible for ensuring all team requirements are met.
The Service Leader will work with a range of partner agencies including Health, Education, Police, Housing and Community/ Voluntary Services to co-ordinate, plan, commission and deliver services to vulnerable children and young people in Portsmouth. This is necessary to meet the statutory requirements as defined in the Children Act 1989 and Children Act 2004.
Requirements:
- Experienced social work manager who understands the value of social work intervention with vulnerable children, young people and their families.
- Inspirational, committed and motivated individual who is ready to shape the changing face of social work today raising professional standards by delivering and developing an outstanding service.
- You will have a recognised professional qualification in social work, excellent organisational and communication skills, and take pride in everything you do.
- You will be curious and creative and above all have a 'can do' attitude.
- You will be able to work as part of a team and ensure that front-line practice contributes to strategic priorities.
