Sanctuary Executive is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Interim Public Health Protection Specialist to fill a full-time role within an Adults' Services based in Bracknell Forest.
The pay rate for this locum Interim Public Health Protection Specialist job is £450 per day (Assignment rate) and is an initial 3-month contract.
Duties:
- To set up the health protection hubs ensuring operational procedures are fit for purpose.
- To provide accurate and timely expert advice on outbreak management in line with national and local policy and outbreak management plans.
- To coordinate LA response to outbreaks and incidents across a 3 LA footprint taking the local context into account.
- To deliver effective outbreak support collaboratively with subject matter experts
- To act as specialist liaison to the Thames Valley Health Protection Team
- To support local organisations to put Health Protection Team and local Public health recommendations in place.
- To provide briefings and materials on national or regional guidance for Berkshire local contexts.
Requirements:
- Educated to master's level in a relevant field or equivalent level of experience working at a senior level in a health protection field
- Evidence of continuing professional development
- Specialist subject matter expertise in health protection and the management of outbreaks.
- Working knowledge of the principles of epidemiology
- Knowledge of record keeping requirements in major incidents
- Understanding of local government and partner organisations.
