Sanctuary Personnel, an award-winning and renowned Recruitment Agency is currently looking for an Interim Head of Service to work full-time in Adults Safeguarding based in West London.
The pay rate for this locum Interim Head of Service role is £500 per day.
Role Purpose:
- Operational lead of the Adult Social Work Triage Team, Review and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguarding (DoLS) Teams.
- Support and engage social workers and social work managers across the whole of Adult Social Work, to promote and enhance Social Work and ensure that Social Work practice informs Senior Management decisions and drives service improvements.
- To define and develop Social Work practice, promoting the Employer Standards for Social Work and developing the Workforce Strategy to ensure a sustainable and engaged workforce.
- Working closely with the Safeguarding Adults Board, ensuring that robust arrangements are in place to meet statutory requirements and promote best practice.
Requirements of the Interim Head of Service:
- Social Work England Registration
- Educated to degree level or equivalent (Management qualification DMS, NVQ level 5 or equivalent desirable)
- Demonstrates significant operational experience at senior manager level within a high volume social care service; with recent experience of managing frontline Social Work managers and promoting positive performance.
- Demonstrable budget management experience/experience of delivering operational teams within agreed budgets.
- Understanding and knowledge of local and national policy and legislative in adult social care.
- Expert/specialist knowledge in the application/interpretation of The Care Act 2014, Safeguarding Adults and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards.
