Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Independent Reviewing Officer to take on a locum position in Lewisham. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in children's services and be registered with the HCPC.
The pay rate for this Independent Reviewing Officer is £38 per hour (LTD Company Equivalent) and is available on a 3-month contract.
About the role:
- To assure the quality of work with Looked After Children in Lewisham Children's Social Care, and to ensure performance is maintained.
- To chair statutory reviews of Children Looked After in accordance with legislation, and to ensure plans for children progress appropriately.
- To contribute to the development of practice in relation to looked after children in Lewisham.
- To provide advice and consultation to social workers and team managers on specific issues of complexity.
Requirements of the Independent Reviewing Officer:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current HCPC registration
- Exstensive experience within a similar role (IRO)
