Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Independent Reviewing Officer to take on a permanent position and work part-time in Wandsworth The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in children's services and be registered with the HCPC.
The salary for this permanent Independent Reviewing Officer is £42,656 - £51,690 per annum.
About the role:
- To provide a quality assurance service to children in need of protection and children looked after across Childrens Services.
- Providing leadership and contribution to the development and quality assurance of service standards and practice.
- Must provide a statutory challenge process and hold the Council to account for their duties as Corporate Parent.
- To ensure a high quality of planning for children and ensure that all statutory duties are carried out to safeguard and promote the welfare of children.
- To chair reviews of Children Looked After and Child Protection conferences to a high standard within required statutory timescales and to the agreed Signs of Safety practice framework.
Requirements of the Independent Reviewing Officer:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current HCPC registration
- Exstensive experience within a similar role (IRO)
