Sanctuary Health is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Band 8b Highly Specialised Clinical Psychologist to work part-time in Ayrshire, Scotland.

The salary for this permanent Clinical Psychologist job is £55,750.50 - £62,770.50 per annum.

Job Summary:

  • Your role will be pivotal within this dynamic team. This exciting and dynamic role will mean you are responsible for working as a key part of the multidisciplinary team and for holding your own clinical case load.

Duties:

  • Conduct and supervise highly specialist clinical psychological assessments using file-review, interview, psychometric and behavioural observation methods for clients presenting with serious Mental Health Problems, Intellectual Disability or Neuropsychological problems. Specifically to provide highly specialist professional opinion with regard to at least one identified area of sub-specialism in Clinical Psychology and Therapy.
  • Collect, collate, analyse and interpret data for clinical evaluation (single-case design strategy), for treatment, audit, and research purposes.
  • Complete assessment and clinical formulation of patient's problem behaviours and treatment needs. This will include collating background information, completing actuarial measures, formal testing and other assessment methods, and the analysis of data.
  • Complete structured professional judgement risk assessments to consider patient risks and to inform risk management and treatment needs.

Requirements of the Clinical Psychologist:

  • A postgraduate qualification in Clinical Psychology recognised by the British Psychological Society.
  • HCPC registered with a postgraduate doctoral level training in Clinical Psychology.
  • Have knowledge and skills in two or more distinct psychological therapies, including CBT.
  • Have knowledge and skills in neuropsychology
  • Have doctoral level knowledge of research methodology, design and complex data analysis

  • Demonstrate skills in the use of complex methods of psychological assessment, formulation, treatment and evaluation.
  • Be competent in the selection, administration and interpretation of a range of cognitive assessments to inform formulation.
  • Knowledge of mental health legislation.
