Location: Marylebone

Pay rate (Assignment rate): £18 per hour

Contract Length: Permanent

Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week

Duties:

  • Works as part of the nursery team to provide a positive and stimulating environment in which children’s all round development is fostered, and a high standard of care is provided
  • Helping parents to maintain a work/life balance and giving them the peace of mind that their children are in a safe place
  • Communicate clearly, effectively and appropriately with colleagues, parents, carers, children and visitors 
  • Respond appropriately to parents’ queries and pass on written and verbal information to colleagues and senior members of staff
  • Provide feedback to parents on their child’s development, daily and in parents’ meetings
  • Observe the children and report any concerns to a senior member of staff
  • Give constructive feedback to colleagues
  • Maintain strict confidentiality with issues discussed in the nursery setting
  • Maintain professional boundaries and working relationships with parents/carers and colleagues

Requirements for the Early Years Practitioner role:

  • Aware of the importance of accurate documentation and regularly write feedback, developmental profiles and reports
  • Accept constructive feedback
  • Level 3 qualification in childcare and education
  • Previous experience of working in a nursery
  • Post qualified experience working and planning for children from 5 months to 5 years
