Sanctuary Personnel, a leading and award-winning recruitment agency is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Consultant Clinical Psychologist/Neuropsychologist.
The pay rate for this locum Psychologis/Neuropsychologist job is £81,834 per annum (Assignment rate) and is a 12-month contract.
Duties:
- To provide at a high level of expertise specialist neuropsychological assessment of adults with neurological injury, utilising information from a broad range of structured psychometric and semi-structured clinical methodologies and integrating it into a neuropsychological formulation of the service user based on a sound understanding of neuroanatomy, neuropsychology, neuropathology and brain behaviour relationships within the Brain Injury Rehabilitation Trust.
- To interpret the policies and guidelines concerning professional good practice for the provision of neuropsychological services in the area of brain injury in order to ensure the highest standards of service to the service user group.
- To maintain a high profile in the field of neuropsychological rehabilitation through regular publication in high quality peer-reviewed journals, presenting at national and international conferences, convening and teaching on post qualification clinical neuropsychology courses and training days as agreed by the Director of Clinical Services.
- To regularly provide clinical training placements for trainee clinical psychologists from appropriate courses, undertaking clinical supervision, teaching on placement, organising and monitoring workload and assessing clinical competence with the agreement of the Director of Clinical Services and the Service Manager.
- To undertake at a high level of expertise a range of neuropsychological therapeutic interventions, drawing on a range of psychological models and employing a range of modalities (individual, family and group) adapted and tailored to the needs of the individual and the context and the ongoing evaluation of the outcomes of the intervention within the Brain Injury Rehabilitation Trust.
- To formulate and implement plans for brain injury rehabilitation or management of service users’ brain injury problems based on a multi- factorial neuropsychological understanding and current evidence-based best practice, taking the lead in very complex cases within the Service/ Region the Brain Injury Rehabilitation Trust.
Requirements of the Consultant Clinical Psychologist/Neuropsychologist:
- To be eligible for this role you must be an HCPC registered psychologist, have a relevant qualification and recent experience is essential.
