Sanctuary Health is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Band 6 Community Occupational Therapist to work in Eastbourne/Hastings on a full-time basis working within a Crisis Response Team. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of Occupational Therapy and be registered with the HCPC.
The pay rate for this locum Occupational Therapist job is £25.23 per hour (Assignment rate) and is an ongoing contract.
Duties:
- Providing health and homecare support to patients to prevent an avoidable hospital admission
- Promote high quality care in the community
- Providing a rapid initiation of assessment, and will continue with provision of treatment and reviews for patients Occupational Therapy needs for up to 72 hours
- Providing support to patients leaving hospital, where it is deemed that the patient no longer requires acute intervention but has ongoing short-term health needs which can be managed in the community
Requirements of the Occupational Therapist:
- Degree or equivalent within Occupational Therapy
- HCPC registered as an Occupational Therapist
- Recent NHS experience either pre or post qualification
- Must be a car driver
