Sanctuary Health is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Band 8a Clinical Psychologist to work full-time within a Specialist Clinical Psychology Service in a Prison based in Oxford.
The pay rate for this locum Clinical Psychologist job is £35 - £40 per hour (Assignment rate) and is a 3-month contract.
Duties:
As postholder of this role you will provide a specialist clinical psychology service within the prison mental health services.
If successful, you will be responsible for conducting psychological interviews, deriving information from self-report measures, rating scales, psychometrics (where necessary), direct and indirect structured observations etc.
Provide psychotherapeutic assessments.
You must be skilled in risk assessment and management.
You will be responsible, for running and evaluating psychological tests, providing feedback sensitively.
Formulate and implement plans for formal psychotherapeutic intervention and/or management of a client's mental health problems.
To be responsible for the assessment, formulation and implementation of psychotherapeutic programmes, for the specific clinical area.
Requirements of the Clinical Psychologist:
Current HCPC registration as a Clinical or Counselling Psychologist
Post-graduate doctorate in clinical or counselling psychology (or its equivalent for those trained prior to 1996 or those in lateral transfer) as accredited by the BPS
