Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Social Worker to work full-time in Twickenham, within the Referral and Assessment Team. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in Children's Services and be registered with Social Work England.
The pay rate for this Social Worker job is £34,884 - £41,850 per annum and is an on a permanent basis.
Requirements of the Social Worker:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current Social Work England registration and proven evidence of continuing professional development
- Significant senior level frontline experience within Children's Services
- Proven experience of support/ developing and nurturing relationships
- Team based experience that will include: Chairing meetings, undertaking analytical assessments from the
- point of referral to outcome/ completing risk assessments
- Commitment to embracing and developing learning, with use of theory and research
- Experience in working with children and families that will include: confidence in undertaking child protective
- investigations, alongside safety and contingency planning
- Experience including report writing, statements and care planning
- Knowledge of statutory legislation and national policy drivers that will affect children' services
- Experienced in undertaking child protection investigations and assessments of needs
- Experienced in the use of ICT and case record management systems
- Strong organisational abilities including: time management, creative-thinking, problem-solving
- Able to manage priorities and work under pressure displaying initiative and creativity
- Able to work flexibly, collaboratively and with initiative and with a solution focused approach
- Excellent communication skills that are open, honest, persuasive and
- pragmatic, including ability to negotiate and influence
