Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency has a new permanent position available for a Care Manager to work full time based in a Children’s home in Milnthorpe, Cumbria.

The salary for this Permanent Care Manager job is up to £40,208

Main Duties:

  • Be an integral part of our team who put the children and young people at the heart of everything we do
  • Provide a stimulating environment, conductive to the educational, personal, and social development of the children as outlined on their education, health and care plans
  • You will also be ensuring effective leadership of the residential community when on duty, such that it is organised, managed and staffed in a manner that delivers the best possible childcare
  • You will be taking a full and active role in the induction, supervision, training and appraisal of the care staff which you hold responsibility for and will participate in the recruitment and selection of members of the care team

Requirements of this job:

  • You will need at least 3 years’ experience working at a senior level with EBD children or within the SEN sector and the ability to lead and manage a team
  • A passion for supporting young people
  • To hold Level 3 Residential Child Care Diploma or equivalent
  • You will be familiar with Ofsted and Children’s Home regulations and be able to evidence your knowledge and experience of behaviour management
