Sanctuary Social Care currently has a permanent vacancy for an experienced and dedicated Child Protection Advisor to work within a Conferencing Service based in Aylesbury. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of Social Work Practice in Children's Services and be registered with the HCPC.

As the post holder of this role, you will receive a competitive salary of £44,935 - £49,878 per annum.

About the role:

  • Advise and guide social work teams, ensuring children and young are subject to an Initial CP Conference where appropriate and that the relevant guidelines and timescales are followed
  • Facilitate the CP Conferences addressing the current and future risk of harm, Encouraging parents/carers and relevant multi-disciplinary professionals to fully engage and participate in the Conference planning process

Requirements of the Child Protection Advisor:

  • Degree or equivalent in social work
  • Current HCPC registration
  • Five years post qualifying experience, including in Child Protection and Care Planning
  • Demonstrable knowledge of the service area, partner relationships and wider sector/external influences
  • Extensive experience of chairing and managing meetings with professionals, children and families
  • A full driving license and access to a vehicle is essential
