Main Duties:
- Conduct building works and plastering tasks in occupied properties, ensuring minimal disruption to residents.
- Provide repairs and maintenance services to communal areas, tenanted properties, and empty homes according to council standards, statutory requirements, and building regulations.
- Address defects causing damp and mold in a timely manner, in compliance with the Social Housing Regulation Act 2023.
- Ensure all repairs are completed to prescribed timescales, maintaining the integrity of our housing stock.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations and best practices while working on-site.
Requirements of the Builder:
- NVQ Level 2 in Building Works, Plastering, or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated proficiency in building works and plastering tasks.
- Knowledge of statutory legislation and relevant building regulations pertaining to housing maintenance.
- Ability to work effectively in occupied properties while minimizing disruption to residents.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure repairs are completed within prescribed timescales.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of workmanship and compliance with health and safety regulations.
