Pay Rate: £17.72 per hour (assignment rate)

Main Duties:

  • Conduct building works and plastering tasks in occupied properties, ensuring minimal disruption to residents.
  • Provide repairs and maintenance services to communal areas, tenanted properties, and empty homes according to council standards, statutory requirements, and building regulations.
  • Address defects causing damp and mold in a timely manner, in compliance with the Social Housing Regulation Act 2023.
  • Ensure all repairs are completed to prescribed timescales, maintaining the integrity of our housing stock.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations and best practices while working on-site.

Requirements of the Builder:

  • NVQ Level 2 in Building Works, Plastering, or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in building works and plastering tasks.
  • Knowledge of statutory legislation and relevant building regulations pertaining to housing maintenance.
  • Ability to work effectively in occupied properties while minimizing disruption to residents.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure repairs are completed within prescribed timescales.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of workmanship and compliance with health and safety regulations.
