Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Best Interest Assessor to work part-time (17 hours per week) within a MCA/DoLS Team in Swindon. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in Adults' Services and be registered with Social Work England.
The salary for this permanent Best Interest Assessor job is £35,437 per annum.
Purpose of the role:
The post holder will be routinely undertaking Best Interests assessments, MCA assessments and related tasks under the direction of an Assistant Team Manager within the MCA/DoLS Team.
They will also be expected, alongside the team, to be part of the development of the service that is going to be taking place in the near future due to the introduction of the Liberty Protection Safeguards.
Be able to undertake related delegated tasks alongside the Swindon Money Management Team and the Deputyship Officer

Requirements of the Best Interest Assessor:
Degree or equivalent in social work
Current Social Work England registration
Must have excellent understanding of the Mental Capacity Act 2005, the appropriate knowledge, skills and post graduate qualification
Significant senior level frontline experience within Adults' Services
