Are you interested in a new Community Psychiatric Nurse (CPN) role?
Sanctuary Health is currently looking for a Band 6 Community Psychiatric Nurse to work in Westminster, within the Mental Health Team.
The pay rate for this full-time role is £25 - £27.39 per hour (Assignment rate) and is an initial 3-month contract.
Duties:
- To receive referrals from GPs and undertake comprehensive psycho-social mental health assessments to establish care needs.
- To act as a mental health resource to the respective GP practices by offering advice and support for the management and care of clients with mental health difficulties.
- To facilitate teaching and health promotion in primary care settings through education, advice and support to GP's and others.
- To act as a contact point and provide a link/liaison role to GP practices with regard to patients with more complex mental health problems and/or co-morbidities
- To screen non-urgent GP Adult mental health referrals, identifying patients who are suitable for management in primary care according to agreed thresholds and with any adjustments to reflect MH resource available at individual practices
Requirements of the Community Psychiatric Nurse:
- Valid NMC registration under Mental Health.
- Experience working within a similar role would be highly desirable.
- A degree or equivalent within Mental Health Nursing (RMN trained).
- Needs to have excellent assessment skills and also have the ability to work independently.
- Full knowledge and skills of medical interventions, as per CPN role, is needed.
