Sanctuary Health is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Band 6 Community Psychiatric Nurse to work full-time in Lambeth. The ideal candidates will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of Mental Health Nursing and be registered with the NMC.
The pay rate for this Community Psychiatric Nurse role is £26 - £27 per hour (LTD Company Equivalent) and is on an ongoing contract.
Key Reponsibilities:
- To carry out comprehensive individual assessments, of clients, physical, psychological, mental health and social situation.
- To be responsible for the clinical care of a defined caseload of clients on an individual basis with complex drug/alcohol related problems ensuring clinical care is delivered in accordance with Trust policies, national guidance and evidence based practice.
- To be involved in the development and monitoring of standards of care, clinical audit, research and outcomes to enhance and develop good clinical practice.
- Attend meetings and case conferences as appropriate with client, carers and other professionals, this includes child protection conferences, CPA's, Panel meetings, multi-agency meetings etc. Where necessary, reports would need to be supplied.
- To administer vaccinations, injections and undertake BBV testing. To deliver other physical health interventions as relevant to client's needs.
Requirements of the Community Psychiatric Nurse:
- Valid NMC registration under Mental Health.
- Experience working within a similar role would be highly desirable.
- A degree or equivalent within Mental Health Nursing (RMN trained).
