Sanctuary Health is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Band 6 Haematology Biomedical Scientist to fill a full-time role in Barrow-in-Furness. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of Biomedical Scientist practices and be registered with the HCPC.

The pay rate for this locum Biomedical Scientist job is £24.31 per hour (LTD Company Equivalent) and is a 12-month contract.

Requirements of the Biomedical Scientist:

  • Must have a relevant qualification in biomedical science (BSc (Hons) Biomedical Science or alternative qualification)
  • 2 years post qualifying experience within a similar role
  • Experience on the following machinery needed: DXH800 FBC analyser, ACL TOP 350s coagulation analyser, ALIFAX ESR analyser, blood film morphology, Wescor Aerospray staining machine, ORTHO Vision Blood Transfusion analyser, experience of crossmatching and providing blood products etc.
  • Required to work 37.5 hours

Additional Information:

There are double rooms available in Barrow in Furness at a rate of £100 to £130 per week inclusive of bills based in central Barrow. The locum would need to pay initially 2 weeks in advance, and this would cover the first and last week of the tenancy. The company are happy to accept 1 weeks' notice on the tenancy.
