Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Band 5/6 Social Worker to work full-time within a Child Protection/Looked After Children's Team based in Belfast. The ideal candidates will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in children's services and be registered with the NISCC.
The pay rate for this locum Social Worker job is £17 per hour (LTD Company Equivalent) and is an ongoing contract.
Main Responsibilities:
- Engage in direct work with children and families.
- Undertake assessment and case planning and to discharge a range of statutory responsibilities in respect of children in need.
- Participate in Child Protection and Looked After Children processes.
- Attend Court and present evidence in legal proceedings.
- Participate in effective interagency and multi-disciplinary practice.
- Engage with service users and carers to promote participation.
Requirements of the Social Worker:
- Degree or equivalent in Social Work
- Current NISCC registration
- A minimum 2 years' experience within Children's Services
