The salary for this Assay Development Specialist / Scientist job is £30,000 - £40,000 per annum and is on a permanent basis.
Duties of the Assay Development Specialist / Scientist:
Understanding the concepts in primer and probe design for qPCR.
Designing qPCR primer/probes for human SNPs and infectious disease diagnostic assays.
Designing primer/probe for alternative isothermal amplification methods such as LAMP, RPA etc.
Helping in wet lab assay development from bench performance to integration onto Nudge platform.
Working on Nudge technology - troubleshooting and data analysis with respect to assay.
Presenting work in progress to wider team.
Designing and optimising Nudge assay panels.
Developing Nudge platform.
Data analysis and interpretation.
Requirements of the Assay Development Specialist / Scientist:
PhD or Masters in any field of Biology.
Background: 2-4 years experience in assay development
