Sanctuary Social Care has a locum vacancy for an Advanced Practitioner to work full-time based in Newham, with a focus on Looked After Children. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in Children's Services and be registered with Social Work England.
The pay rate for this locum Advanced Practitioner role is £38.00 per hour (Assignment rate) and is a 3-month contract.
Duties:
- Ensure that children are effectively safeguarded and their care plans are SMART, continually monitored and reviewed
- Take into account the views and wishes of children and young people, ensuring that these are consistently obtained and acted upon
- Be conversant with all key legislative and regulatory requirements in relation to looked after children and care leavers
Requirements of the Advanced Practitioner:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current Social Work England registration
- Significant senior level frontline experience within children's services
- Extensive experience and understanding of the processes for Looked After Children and their families
- Good working knowledge of permanency planning and all aspects of work relating to the achievement of placement stability
