Sanctuary Personnel, a leading recruitment company within the private and public sector has a locum role for an Adults Social Worker to work full-time based in Wakefield, within the Hospital Team.
The pay rate for this locum Adults Social Worker job is £23.77 per hour (Assignment rate) and is an initial 3-month contract.
This role will include a mixture of office / home / hospital work.
Duties:
- Complete assessments for patients on the wards within both Dewsbury District Hospital and Pinderfields Hospital to enable them to be safely discharged from hospital either directly home with a package of care or into a Discharge to Assess Bed to await a package of care or for an assessment for ongoing needs
Requirements of the Adults Social Worker:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current Social Work England registration
- Experience within a hospital due to winter pressures and covid admissions
- Be able to work under pressure and to be able to effectively prioritise their workload to meet the demands of the Trust
- Be competent in completing assessments to identify ongoing needs as well as mental capacity assessments and Best Interest Decisions
- Pro-active fast paced
