Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Adult's Safeguarding Social Worker to work full-time in Sutton. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in Adults' Services and be registered with Social Work England.
The pay rate for this locum Social Worker job is £28.00 per hour (Assignment rate) and is an initial 3-month contract.
Requirements of the Social Worker:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current Social Work England registration
- A history of working within Adult Social Care and experience of working with vulnerable adults
- A good understanding of the application of the Care Act, the London Multi-Agency Safeguarding Adults Procedures, the Mental Capacity Act and experience of the application of the ethos and values of 'Making Safeguarding Personal'
- Experience with Adult Safeguarding work and complex work
- Knowledge and experience of working with Continuing Health Care and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards
- Sound assessment skills
- Ability to analyse complex information and evidence
- Significant report writing and analytical skills
- Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing to a wide range of audiences
- Previous experience of working with residential/nursing and domiciliary providers
- Ability to work in accordance with the wishes of the adult; make decisions as to what follow-up action should be taken
