Paul Page

Business Developer & National Healthcare Account Manager

Since joining Sanctuary in March 2014, Paul has enjoyed an incredibly rewarding and varied role in health and social care recruitment. During his first five years as a senior recruitment consultant, he built a large community of mental health nurses within the South West of England. By the time he was ready to move into the business development team, he had over 80 mental health professionals on placement.

It's Paul’s commitment to finding a solution for even the most urgent and complex recruitment challenges that makes him great at his job. He genuinely cares about the positive difference Sanctuary makes to the lives of other people. When asked what he enjoys most about his role, he responds by saying that he has the “freedom to make a real difference.”

Although it’s hard to pinpoint a piece of work he’s most proud of, recruiting for the NHS COVID-19 vaccination programme will always hold a special place in Paul’s heart. Being asked to rapidly staff multiple sites with qualified vaccination nurses, allied health professionals, and support staff was a big undertaking, but Sanctuary responded with such speed. As Paul says, “I couldn’t be prouder of how, as a business, we answered the call for help.”

Described affectionately by his colleagues as the “postman,” Paul has a natural ability to open doors. After all, his personable approach and success at solving resourcing challenges, makes him someone clients are more than happy to reach out to for support.

Persistent, determined and curious about what’s possible, Paul works closely with Sanctuary’s CEO, James Rook and Head of Business Development, Robin King, on new innovations. A good example is Resource Stream, an online hub for local authorities seeking a direct way to recruit high quality social work professionals and raise their employer profile.

Outside of work, Paul is kept busy with his two boys who he loves to go on countryside walks with. He also enjoys watching the rugby, Formula 1 and winter sports. Soon, he tells us, he’s hoping to get back on the slopes with his snowboard.
