Sanctuary Health has a job vacancy based in Bristol for a Band 6 Plasma Collection Nurse on behalf of the NHS Blood and Transplant Service for a 3-6 months. Pay rate is negotiable. This is part of the COVID-19 response and will play a pivotal role in the collection of plasma from those 28 days clear of Covid-19. This is the chance to be an integral part of our fight against COVID-19. Before the placement begins you will begin two to four weeks' worth of training/induction to the same level as if you were joining the service permanently. You will be accountable to the Senior Sister/Senior Charge Nurse/Donor Centre Managers depending on the location and service you are working in. You also will be required to work variable hours in-order to lead at different blood collection sessions, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays. Night shifts are not required in this role. Other duties of the Band 6 Plasma Collection Nurse: Efficient management of blood donor sessions, maximising productivity as well as maintaining standards of care and donor satisfaction. Leading and promoting the behaviours required to deliver an excellent donation experience, ensuring high donor satisfaction and retention. Accountability for the effective delivery of both operational and clinical standards of care and donor experience.
