The professional membership organisation for social work in the UK is The British Association of Social Workers, also known as BASW. Its reach spans the whole of the UK, with regional webpages detailing local events and activities.

All members sign-up to BASW’s code of ethics, which states the values and ethical principles on which the profession is based.
Professional development
BASW greatly assists its members with their professional development. There are a wide range of online resources, programmes and frameworks to help social workers meet their CPD requirements for their regulatory body.
