Sanctuary Personnel are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Sonographer to join our client's team. In this role, you will be integral to providing top-notch ultrasound services independently, contributing significantly to patient care and diagnosis across various clinics in Nottinghamshire and/or Lincolnshire. Your expertise, spanning from Gynae to MSK (desirable), will be instrumental in generating insightful diagnostic reports for referring clinicians.

This is a mobile position covering multiple sites across the East Midlands. The ideal candidate will hold a UK Drivers Licence and be eligible for either a Company Car Allowance or mileage allowance.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform various ultrasound examinations independently, adhering to established guidelines.
  • Deliver comprehensive ultrasound scanning and reporting services within your scope of practice, utilising analytical skills to interpret images accurately.
  • Adhere to protocols and policies when working on sites, ensuring compliance and upholding high standards of practice.
  • Collaborate with referring clinicians and facilitate Radiologist review of reports when necessary.
  • Ensure exceptional patient care in a safe environment, in line with organisational policies.
  • Efficiently manage clinic sessions, coordinating with Diagnostic Imaging Assistants.
  • Contribute to the training of medical staff as directed by the Clinical Regional Lead Sonographer.
  • Participate in audit and clinical governance activities under guidance.
  • Engage in continuous professional development to stay updated with advancements in medical ultrasound.
  • Maintain high standards of excellence in ultrasound practice and patient care.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Relevant professional qualification (DMU, PgD or MSc in Medical Ultrasound) and professional registration (e.g., HCPC).
  • Valid driving license and access to a vehicle (desirable).
  • In-depth clinical knowledge and expertise in medical ultrasound.
  • Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in patient management databases and PACS systems.
  • Skills in Gynae (essential), MSK (desirable).
